The entrance to the Recreation Centre is just by the railway bridge, directly opposite the Red Lion pub in Red Lion Lane – there’s a big Nash Mills Recreation Centre sign. (By the traffic lights under the railway bridge across the A4251 – the old A41).
- From M25 J20 take the A4251 through Kings Langley for about 2 miles just over a mile. Shortly after a petrol station on the right-hand side there is a railway bridge crossing the road diagonally, with traffic lights underneath it. Turn right at these lights into Nash Mills / Red Lion Lane and immediately right up the side of a white house along a track beside the railway line into Nash Mills Recreation Centre. If you end up crossing the canal you have gone too far!
- From St Albans take the A4147 to Hemel, over M1 and go left past second 40 MPH speed camera, into Blackwater Lane. This ends in about a quarter mile and at T junction go right and immediately left into Bunkers Lane. After about a mile, careful it’s narrow, is a T junction, go left for 200 yards and right into Red Lion Lane (turns into Nash Mills Lane). Just 300 yards and you’re there. Nash Mills Recreation Centre is signed on the left immediately before the traffic lights and the railway bridge, opposite the Red Lion Pub.
